Lough Oughter Canoe Trails

From our ideally situated base at Carratraw Bridge, our guided canoe trails take you around the Lough Oughter Waterways into the real Ireland of beautiful lakes and rivers.  Gentle paddling using your own power gives opportunity to observe and enjoy tranquil scenery, local history, wild life and bird life.  Our trails are suitable for beginner and experienced paddlers alike; traveling in our stable open style canoes is a memorable experience.

Tours are ideally suited to groups of up to six people and take place each Tuesday and Thursday commencing at 9.30am. Your tour will be a mix of exploration and easy paddling and depending on the route normally take up to four hours. The cost of the tour is €50 per person including the use of the facilities at Carratraw Canoe Centre.

 As your safety and comfort are of concern to us all our guides are fully qualified and experienced in the local environment and all specialist and canoeing equipment will be provided.
